WHAT THEY DO
Nearly all of the S.R.F.’s work has been classified
ultra-secret; only the short paper Clairvoyant Perception
at Distance: Applications and Projected Uses (The Journal
of Applied Intelligence, Mar 1958) remains extant.
Initially, so we have been led to believe, fear of public
ridicule drove the S.R.F.’s research underground.
However, by the mid 1960’s sufficient data had
been generated to convince the S.R.F.’s sponsors
that psychically-obtained results of genuine intelligence
significance were occurring, albeit with tantalising
irregularity. Yet still the work remained secret.
Throughout the next three decades, a raft of training
techniques and courses were devised to further improve
the performance of the S.R.F.’s small army of
psychic test-subjects (the so-called ‘supernormals’).
This ‘amplification’ resulted in several
notable successes, including:
PROJECT OPAL-GREEN (c.1965-1971): Remote
sensing of uranium 235 and other fissile material, found
at otherwise inaccessible locations. Early subjects
reported such material ‘glowed like kryptonite’
when viewed supernormally. Ludovico Evidence grows that
PROJECT OPAL-GREEN was reactivated in 2002.
PROJECT STARSHOT (1971-1985): Focused
projection of supernormal energy onto nominal ‘nodal’
points, each typically about 1700 k.m above the earth.
Squads of supernormals generated a global grid of these
points, which was then used for psi-pathic and empathic
surveillance.
PROJECT BABYLON (1963-present day):
Routine use of psychokinetics to adversely affect parapsychological
studies conducted in universities and other public institutions.
It is thanks to BABYLON that results in Parapsychology
are rarely repeatable, thus further research in this
security-sensitive area is discouraged. (One of the
aims of the S.R.F. is to keep supernormal technology
– now known to be effective and largely reliable
– for itself.)
PROJECT CLIMB (1971-present day): Routine
supernormal influence/control of well-known media scientists,
manipulated at distance to be outspoken critics of psi-powers
and Parapsychology. Not one of these apparent skeptics
knows of or, indeed, suspects this dubious state of
affairs, and all would deny it vociferously, if told.
(Since its inception, PROJECT CLIMB has worked closely
with PROJECT BABYLON.)
PROJECT ARIADNE’S THREAD (1963-1988
& 2001-2004): The mapping, through remote viewing,
of sensitive installations and restricted sites. Select
supernormal operatives can achieve resolutions of less
than one half metre, given appropriate carto-psipathic
training
PROJECT LOOKING GLASS (1999-present
day): Psi-defensive technology developed to protect
S.R.F. from outside supernormal surveillance. Also known
as PROJECT MIRRORMIND.
BABEL PROJECT ZERO (2005-present day):
A series of informal experiments conducted outside the
auspices of the S.R.F. by Alex Ludovico and Richard
Goodwin, which confirmed the presence of supernormal
abilities in the general population. These brave experiments
continue to this day.
